The triple-fatal head-on Vermont crash involving a tractor-trailer and an SUV that claimed the lives of a couple from Hastings-on-Hudson on Tuesday, Dec. 29 remains under investigation. Ryszard Malarczyk, 51, and his 50-year-old wife Anita Malarczyk, and a friend, Jaroslaw Karczewski, were killed in the 2:15 p.m. crash on U.S. Route 4 in which their 2009 Cadillac Escalade was hit head-on by the tractor-trailer, which crossed into the highway, according to Vermont State Police.
