United Water is advising the recipients of suspicious calls to hang up and call customer service at either -266-9109, or -426-8969. If someone comes to the house claiming to be from the company, customers should know that United Water employees wear uniforms and ID badges with the company name and logo, it said.

TV director Jason "Jace" Alexander was busted on child-porn charges for allegedly promoting a video showing a girl stripping and masturbating, according to the Westchester County DA's office. Alexander, 50, of Dobbs Ferry, the only son of actress Jane Alexander, is accused of promoting the video - depicting a girl about 12 or 13 years old - by making it available for viewing in late June on the Torrent network, according to a criminal complaint.

Spreckman, Marcotte Push Vote For New Yonkers Family Court Facility

YONKERS, N.Y. Republican county legislators were able to get a commitment for a vote on a lease for a proposed new facility for Yonkers Family Court at the Board of Legislators meeting scheduled for Aug. 10. The Infrastructure Committee met Tuesday, and committee members Legislators Michael Smith and Sheila Marcotte made a motion to have the board vote on the lease. Board Majority Leader Catherine Borgia and Legislator MaryJane Shimsky wanted the issue tabled for the time being, wanting more time and information.

Republican Legislators have secured a commitment that there will be a vote on the new Yonkers Family Court facility at the next Board of Legislators meeting on August 10th. At a meeting of the Infrastructure Committee on Tuesday, committee members, Legislators Michael Smith Pleasantville and Sheila Marcotte Eastchester, made a motion for a committee vote that would send the lease agreement to the entire BOL for a vote.
