Rivertowns' 4th Annual Jewish Cultural Festival takes a Unique Approach

What is Jewish "Culture?" A proliferation of festivals in the Westchester/Rockland area are slated to begin shortly. Only one festival takes a different approach: The 4th Annual Jewish Cultural Festival is taking place April 10 through April 18 throughout the Rivertowns, with locations from Lyndhurst Castle in Tarrytown to the Greenburgh Hebrew Center.

Tasha Morton, key figure in Teaneck public schools. at 90

Tasha Morton, who as a teacher and more recently a Board of Education member was a force in the Teaneck schools for four decades, died Friday at Van Dyk Park Place nursing home in Hawthorne. She was 90. Mrs. Morton vigorously supported Teaneck's historic 1964 voluntary integration of its public schools.

Foodtown to Replace A&P in Hastings-on-Hudson

The closing of the A&P in Hastings-on-Hudson in November left a grocery store void that will be filled with a new store. Brothers Robin, Bill and John Estevez, who own other Foodtowns in the metropolitan area, are in the process of renovating the former A&P space.
