Sen. Klein Distributes Chromebooks To Pelham Students

State Sen. Jeff Klein handed out Chromebooks to eighth-graders at Pelham Memorial High School/Middle School at an evening celebration on Monday, Sept. 29. The senator secured the technology through a $100,000 grant for the Pelham school district.

Bronx GOP putts toward the future

Boro GOPers are taking the party to the acclaimed Saint Andrews Golf Club in Hastings-on-Hudson Wednesday for a fund-raiser with former Mayor Rudy Giuliani. The oft-beleaguered organization is focused on expanding its presence in a borough that is nearly 90% Democratic, said Bronx GOP chairman John Greaney.

The Farragut Complex, which houses Hastings High School and Farragut Middle School, became the latest location for a WeatherBug monitoring system on Thursday, Sept. 11. The weather station has a high-definition camera and Web-based educational software tools.

Join The Fun At Take Me To The River Festival In Hastings' Draper Park

Alive with music and art, craft vendors, food fellowship, the 8th Annual Take Me To The River Music and Arts Festival will take over Draper Park in Hastings-on-Hudson on a new rain date, Sunday, September 7, in a farewell to summer. Produced by 12 Miles North, the ever-growing Take Me To the River event will include 21 live concerts, two dance performances, over a dozen local food and beverage trucks, new art installations, workshops and outdoor children's activities with the expectation that more than 2,000 people will move through the venue from noon to 10 p.m. What began as an ultra-local seed of an idea back in 2007 has blossomed into a must-see regional event.
