County Legislator Calls Hastings Affordable Housing 'Segregated'

Saw Mill Lofts is a 7.45-acre development proposed on at Route 9A at 425 Saw Mill River Rd. in Hastings-on-Hudson HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON -- Westchester County Legislator Ken Jenkins is criticizing County Executive Rob Astorino for the proposed Saw Mill River Lofts project in Hastings-on-Hudson calling it "segregated housing at its worst." Astorino's camp, however, says Jenkins' plan would undermine the amount of affordable units that can be squeezed out of the project and thus the county's efforts to fulfill its legal obligation to build affordable housing for minorities in Westchester.
